For our initial ideas we have decided to keep mise-en-scene and sound basic due to the main emphasis being on the three techniques we need to include. We will focus on the editing with the use of match on action and shot reverse shot, and we will use the 180 degree rule as part of our cinematography. In our extract we will use other camera movements such as tracking and camera shots like close-up and two shot.
The basics of our mise-en-scene will be set in the living room of a suburban house, the costume will be plain with use of casual clothes, and the props will be everyday items such as: sofa, Ipad, cushion, television and remote. Finally, for the lighting we will constantly use high key light to prevent the creation of tension and mystery. Our extract is mainly focusing on the editing and cinematography and not the atmosphere of the extract.
Very little sound will be used in our extract: we will have dialogue of the characters during the shot reverse shot and background diegetic sounds such as the television and the opening of the door.
The main aim of the task will be to create continuity.
